The Rainbow Address School Health Awards earlier called as the Parikrma Address School Health Awards recognizes schools that promote highest standards of health. The distinguished jury for these awards includes public health professionals, nutritionists, counselors, social workers, child psychologists, educationists, NGO activists and doctors. Each year we see an overwhelming response from various schools for these awards. A gala ceremony is held to felicitate the winning schools and recognize their achievements.


The award ceremony was held on 8th February 2018. Dr. Thimappa Hegde, Director and Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He delivered the keynote address “Mind over Matter: Why the mind matters?”

Winners were inducted into the Parikrma Address School Health Awards Hall of Fame.
The event featured a panel discussion on ‘Role of schools in child mental health: Police, Mentor, Friend or Spy’. Panelists included Dr. Ramprasad Attur, Child Psychiatrist; Dr. John Vijay Sagar Kommu, Associate Professor, NIMHANS; Mr. Vijai Krishna Rajgopal, Director & Principal, Vidyaniketan Public School, Ullal Road; Ms. Gracy Jebastina, Psychologist, Sukrut; Mr. Santanu Das, Principal, Sarala Birla Academy; Ms. Reema Gupta, Child
Psychologist Coordinator, Nurturing Schools Program; Moderator: Dr. Anand Lakshman, CEO, AddressHealth.
Raghu Dixit entertained the crowds with his soul stirring music. There were some great dance performances by Parikrma students. Trophies were also given to the winners of AddressHealth caption contest.


Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the award ceremony held on 22 Feb 2017.
The panel discussion topic was ‘Measles Rubella Vaccination campaign in schools – a disruption or an innovation?.’ It brought out many concerns, problems and reactions of schools and parents with respect to the campaign. Many schools were inducted into the ‘Hall of fame’ for showing commitment in improving school health. Several innovative practices related to school health were also recognized and given special awards.
The evening concluded with an enthralling performance by Raghu Dixit and some entertaining dance performances and yoga display by school children.


The award ceremony held on 6 Feb 2015 started with keynote address by Ms. Shashi Deshpande, award winning novelist. She pointed out how schools can make a difference given the evolving health and safety issues for children.

This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dilip Thakore, Chief Editor of Education World. The panel consisted of Maya Menon, noted educationist; Reeth Abraham, award-winning athlete; Ram Prasad Attur, Child Psychiatrist; Dr. Anand Lakshman, CEO of AddressHealth; and Phalitha, a former student at Parikrma Learning

Dr. Anand Lakshman, CEO, AddressHealth and Shukla Bose, CEO, Parikrma Foundation also spoke on the occasion.
The event wound up with a captivating performance by renowned folk musician Raghu Dixit.
